The most common symptoms of TB are:
- a cough for three weeks or longer
- weight loss
- loss of appetite
- high temperature or fever
- night sweats
- extreme tiredness or lack of energy.
I think I may have TB? What should I do?
If you think you have TB, visit your nearest clinic for a FREE TB TEST. The nurses will ask you to cough into a bottle and your sputum specimen will be sent to the laboratory for examination. If you have TB, you will be given medicine right away.
There is no charge for the medication.
Do not stop your treatment, even if you feel better. The germs will stay in your body if you dont finish the full course of the treatment.
